Facebook Will Introduce Simpler Privacy Controls

On Wednesday, Facebook will unveil a new version of its privacy menu intended to make adjusting the settings much easier for its members. Chris Cox, vice president of product at the company, speaking on-stage at TechCrunch Disrupt, a technology conference in New York City, described the revised controls as “drastically simplified.” Mr. Cox said that the move was part of a larger effort to quell the growing frustration of some Facebook users befuddled as well as concerned by recent revisions to its privacy policy that makes more personal information public.
