Brand Obama Actually Makes a Change…for a Change

Love him or hate him , Obama has finally put his campaign money where his mouth by opting out of the public campaign financing system .

He is the first major presidential candidate to do so since the system was put in place in 1976. And the timing might be just right, given that his message of “change” and “hope” is beginning to sound like a broken record of empty political rhetoric.

Actions indeed speak louder than words , and this is Obama’s first real paradigm-shifting maneuver. Only time will tell if it was a wise one, but McCain is hinting at making the same move. Given their grassroots fundraising history in the campaign to date, Senator McCain may end up a red-faced loser.

It is going to be an interesting few months.
