Manix Condoms Proudly Presents “Tumescent of a Woman” (Hoo-ah!)

 

A while back, I wrote about this spot for Orangina and what a grody orgy it was. Little did I know that another campaign would come along that would make that musical salute to bodily functions look like the episode of “Little House on the Prairie” where Tinker Jones, the kindhearted mute, helps the kids of Walnut Grove forge a new bell for Reverend Alden’s church.

 

I don’t think you ready for this jelly, but here goes. Behold the French print campaign for Manix condoms:

It takes a lot to shock me, but sweet cracker sandwich! It’s like Salvadore Dali and Hieronymus Bosch begot a child named Beavis and stuck a paintbrush in his wee little hand. It’s a carnal carnival. It’s Alice in Wonderland where the “Eat Me” pill is Viagra. It’s a world where nipples, literally, grow on trees.

 

As was the case with that comparably tame Orangina spot, this is by another Parisian agency, this time CLM BBDO. I don’t know if they all just have their kicky berets on a little too tight over there, but isn’t this all just a BIT much? Really, it has all the subtlety of an anvil branded L’ACME falling on Wile E. Coyote’s head while he frantically services himself at the bottom of a cliff.

 

Sure, sex sells, but can we just put it away and zip up here, s’il vous plaît?
