Hollywood is turning out in force, saying “don’t vote.”  Because not voting is still a vote.

BobDoleSez: people didn't vote for me.
BobDoleSez: don't do that again; don't vote for me again
BobDoleSez: 'Lizabeth! Get me a pill. I'm ready to pull the lever!

Don't vote. If you like the hell on earth we have now.

This is a powerful new approach to the same old message. I do believe we're going to see the first election in which the youth vote shows up in huge numbers. My high school students were incredibly savvy and engaged, debating openly in class for their candidate and mocking students who dared admit they "didn't care."

The approach reminds me a bit of the Obama ad that shows mock election night MSNBC coverage of a McCain win, with the ticker revealing low turnout as the cause.

"Like herpes, but for positive." Sounds like the bailout. A desperate quickie that we'll be paying for forever.

The Lady would totally hump Mssrs. Rogen and Rudd, but alas, they are not here. Call it the Lady's "schlub crush" ordeal. Still, she loves this piece, and will vote, but only if Spidey removes the suit.

Very funny and well done. Definitely stands out from the serious, somber approach.

Um, do they expect kids to watch for almost 5 minutes? One minute of well-edited stuff, please.

I would assume they have a shorter version. Does anyone know the background on this? Are there plans for use in traditional media as well? Just curious...

"Teen Talk -- Voter Abstinence" PSA -- Colbert-style helps teens fight the peer pressure to vote: "It's okay to like somebody... but you don't have to vote for him." The PSA starts at 2:45.
