We’ve come a long way, baby. Or have we? Are these ads below any different to have a sexy cartoon woman touting the smooth taste of Kamels? Or how about all those yummy transfats and other terrible foods advertisers push at us? Or the wax placebo you rub on your head to alleviate headaches?

It’s easy to look at these ads in hindsight, outside of the cultural context of the times when they were produced, and recognize them for their absurdity. But what will people be saying about today’s ads 20 years from now?

Am I the last person on the planet to know that about Head On? I never used it, mind you. But it's really just wax?
